July 14, 2009

California prunes are portable, with nothing to peel or wash, they tuck easily into
sports-gear bags, briefcases for nutritious snacking.

California prunes are easy to store, needing no refrigeration. Unlike fresh fruit, they don’t spoil readily. And unlike many snacks and energy bars, California prunes contain no fat, cholesterol or sodium. But they are more than a fabulous diet.. They are an ingredient that enhances main dishes, salads, side dishes and desserts. In fact they are also wonderful in chutneys and fruit sauces, meat and chicken dishes. They are really good for you. They are loaded with antioxidants, soluble and insoluble dietary fiber, vitamins and minerals. According to research conducted at Tufts University in Boston, prunes scored highest in antioxidant activity compared to a wide variety of commonly eaten fruits and vegetables.
You can stay youth by eating fruits and vegetables rich in antioxidants. Prunes are
